Appliance Repair in Orange, CA — D&V Appliance Repair

The City of Orange holds a special place among Orange County communities — and for D&V Appliance Repair, it holds an even more personal one. Our business is based right here in Orange, at 500 North State College Blvd, and has been since we opened our doors in 2001. Orange is not just a city we serve — it is our home community, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Orange is one of the most historically rich cities in Orange County. The famous Old Towne Orange historic district — centered around the landmark traffic circle at Chapman and Glassell — is one of the largest concentrations of original early-20th-century architecture in California. Beyond Old Towne, Orange spans a wide range of residential neighborhoods, from the university district around Chapman University to established mid-century neighborhoods, newer planned communities near the 55 freeway corridor, and the upscale hillside homes of Orange Park Acres.

This diversity of homes means a wide range of appliances — from classic units in older craftsman bungalows to premium Sub-Zero and Wolf installations in Orange’s larger custom properties. D&V Appliance Repair has the expertise to handle all of them, and as a locally based company, we can respond to Orange service calls faster than any company coming from outside the city.

Call 714-204-3140 — live 24/7 — or book your appointment online and save 20% on labor.

Appliance Repair Services in Orange, CA

D&V Appliance Repair provides comprehensive repair services for all major household and light commercial appliances throughout the City of Orange. Here is a complete overview of what we fix:

Refrigerator Repair in Orange, CA

A refrigerator failure demands an immediate response — food spoilage begins within hours once cooling is lost. As a locally based company in Orange, we prioritize same-day refrigerator repair throughout the city and can often have a technician on-site faster here than anywhere else in our service area. We repair all refrigerator types including French door, side-by-side, top and bottom freezer, counter-depth, and fully built-in panel-ready models. We service Sub-Zero, Thermador, GE Monogram, KitchenAid, LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and all other major brands. Common repairs include compressor diagnostics, condenser fan replacement, thermostat calibration, door gasket replacement, water dispenser repair, and full electronic diagnostic service.

Washer Repair in Orange, CA

Orange’s family-oriented communities mean busy households with heavy laundry loads — and a broken washer disrupts the entire routine. We repair front-load, top-load, and high-efficiency washers throughout Orange, addressing problems including failure to spin or drain, door lock malfunctions, water leaks, violent vibration during spin cycles, and unresponsive control panels. We service LG, Samsung, Bosch, Electrolux, Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore, Miele, and all other major brands. Our trucks carry washer-specific parts for the most common brands so the majority of repairs are completed in a single visit.

Dryer Repair in Orange, CA

We repair gas and electric dryers throughout Orange, CA. A dryer that won’t heat, takes multiple cycles to dry a load, makes grinding or squealing noises, or randomly shuts off is both a daily inconvenience and a potential safety hazard. We replace thermal fuses, heating elements, gas ignitors, drum rollers, drive belts, idler pulleys, and control boards. We also inspect and clean dryer vent systems during service visits — a clogged vent is one of the most common causes of dryer inefficiency and a leading cause of residential fires. Brands we service include Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Maytag, GE, Kenmore, Electrolux, and more.

Oven & Range Repair in Orange, CA

Orange’s strong family culture and well-equipped kitchens make oven and range repair one of our most frequent service calls in the city. We repair gas, electric, and dual-fuel ranges and wall ovens from all major manufacturers. Whether your oven is not reaching temperature, heating unevenly, failing to ignite, displaying error codes, or has a door that won’t seal properly — we have the parts and expertise to fix it. We service Wolf, Thermador, Viking, Bertazzoni, GE Monogram, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Samsung, and all other brands throughout Orange.

Cooktop Repair in Orange, CA

We repair all cooktop types throughout Orange including gas, electric, induction, and ceramic glass. Common issues include burners that won’t ignite, gas valves stuck open, induction zones that won’t respond, cracked glass surfaces, and faulty control knobs. We carry replacement parts for Wolf, Thermador, Bosch, GE, Samsung, LG, KitchenAid, and other brands on our trucks.

Dishwasher Repair in Orange, CA

We repair all major dishwasher brands throughout Orange. Common problems we address include failure to drain, poor cleaning performance, water leaks from the door or base, failure to start, and noisy pump operation. Bosch, KitchenAid, Miele, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, and Frigidaire are among the brands we service most frequently in Orange. Most dishwasher repairs are completed same-day with parts from our well-stocked trucks.

Freezer Repair in Orange, CA

We repair standalone upright and chest freezers as well as built-in freezer columns from Sub-Zero and Thermador throughout Orange. Common issues include failure to maintain freezing temperatures, excessive frost accumulation, unusual noises, and door seal failures. We diagnose and replace thermostats, evaporator fans, defrost heaters, compressors, and door gaskets.

Ice Maker Repair in Orange, CA

We repair refrigerator ice makers and standalone undercounter ice units throughout Orange that are not producing ice, producing hollow or undersized cubes, leaking water into the freezer, or making unusual clicking or grinding noises. We service Sub-Zero, Thermador, U-Line, KitchenAid, Scotsman, and all major refrigerator brand ice makers.

Wine Cooler Repair in Orange, CA

We repair freestanding and built-in wine coolers and beverage centers throughout Orange. Whether your unit is not cooling, running too cold, making noise, or displaying error codes, we diagnose and repair the issue. We service Sub-Zero, Viking, U-Line, Perlick, KitchenAid, and other wine storage brands.

Appliance Repair for Old Towne Orange Historic Homes

Old Towne Orange presents a unique set of considerations for appliance repair and installation that sets it apart from newer Orange County communities. The historic homes in this district — many built between 1905 and 1940 — often have original plumbing and electrical configurations that predate modern appliance standards.

Older homes in Old Towne may have:

  • Smaller kitchen spaces with non-standard appliance dimensions requiring careful measurement before any replacement recommendation
  • Older electrical panels that may affect the operation of high-demand appliances like dryers and electric ranges
  • Plumbing configurations that require adapters for modern dishwasher and washer connections
  • Ventilation systems that may need modification to accommodate modern dryer vent requirements

Our technicians are experienced with the specific conditions common in Old Towne Orange homes. We approach every service call here with an understanding of the home’s age and character, and we provide honest assessments of not just the appliance repair but any related considerations that affect long-term performance.

Repair vs. Replace — Honest Advice for Orange Homeowners

One of the questions we hear most often from Orange homeowners is whether to repair a broken appliance or replace it. Our answer is always based on the specific situation — not on what generates more revenue for us.

As a general guideline, repair makes clear financial sense when the appliance is under 10–12 years old and the repair cost is less than half the cost of a comparable replacement. For premium brands like Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Thermador — which are engineered for 20+ year lifespans — repair almost always makes sense regardless of age, unless there is systemic failure across multiple components.

Beyond the financial calculation, there is also the practical reality of replacement timelines. A new appliance requires researching, selecting, purchasing, scheduling delivery, installation, and haul-away of the old unit — a process that commonly takes one to two weeks. A repair by D&V in Orange can have your appliance running the same day.

Our technicians always provide an honest assessment. If replacement genuinely makes more sense for your situation, we will tell you clearly and help you understand why — even if that means you don’t book a repair with us. That honest approach is one of the main reasons Orange homeowners have been trusting us for over 25 years.
